On Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June, the Year 12 Geography cohort travelled to London to complete Geography fieldwork. This was to prepare them for their coursework in Year 13 and to visit some of the areas they have studied as part of their Human Geography course in Year 12.
On Friday they visited Brick Lane which students study as a contrasting area to Swanage and enjoyed visiting the vibrant markets in the area. This was followed by a visit to the roof garden at 120 Fenchchurch Street to see the spectacular views over London.
On Saturday students visited the London Docklands Museum to gain a greater insight into how the area has been regenerated. Finally, they had a quick stop in Leicester Square before seeing the flypast of various aircraft, including the red arrows, as part of the King’s birthday celebrations.
