On World Music Day (21st June), our Year 12 Music student’s Zach B and Lydia H took West African Djembe workshops to deliver to Year 5 students at Heatherlands Primary School.
As part of their level 3 Music course, they had to design and deliver a workshop to Primary school students. They did a fantastic job, including coping with a surprise fire drill in the middle of their workshop.
The workshops received rave reviews from the Year 5 students including:
- “We liked playing different rhythms at the same time”
- “We liked the challenge”
- “We loved it!”
