Background and Experience
I grew up on the outskirts of London and, throughout my secondary school years, I developed a love of Geography and learning about the world around us. I completed my Degree in Geography and a Masters in Surveying before working in this industry for several years at sites across the UK and further afield.
However, I had always had a passion for education and eventually realised that surveying was not the long-term career that was right for me. I retrained as a teacher and taught in a school in Inner London for 6 years. At this point I had a young family and we decided to move to Dorset to give us access to the incredible natural environment found here. I started at Magna Academy in 2018 and have held the posts of Lead Practitioner in Geography and Academic Director of Humanities. Outside work I love to travel and enjoy walking and kayaking.
I am proud to work at Magna Academy and believe passionately about providing the best possible education for all students.
