The Emerging Talents Team from JP Morgan visited Magna Academy to speak to Year 12 students about their degree apprenticeships and early careers programme. The Emerging Talent Team at JP Morgan Bournemouth is responsible for identifying, recruiting and developing new talent. They coordinate work experience and apprenticeships for Sixth Form students and school leavers.
Year 12 are currently in the process of deciding what they will do after Sixth Form and the talk explained how the JP Morgan apprenticeships provide a combination of academic study and practical work experience, allowing participants to earn a degree while gaining valuable on-the-job training. The apprenticeships focus on technology or finance and typically last 3-4 years with participants splitting their time between studying at a university and working at JP Morgan.
Year 12 students know that they can apply for both apprenticeships and university degrees to keep their options open.
